President & CEO/Owners
Daryl Rogers is real estate’s unpretentious leader. Based in Roseville, CA, as the CEO and owner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) Reliance Partners, Daryl and his business partner Matt Cord built and run one of the largest and most successful real estate brokerages in the state, with 10 offices and more than 500 agents throughout Sacramento and the East Bay.
Daryl was a former high school science teacher who jumped into real estate as his second career. As an early owner of Keller Williams Realty, he created one of the most profitable Keller Williams franchises in California. This high school football coach from Newcastle believes the best agents are relationship-based and not transaction-based and works to attract the most respected agents, who he believes can make a good living and have a life outside of real estate.
Matt Cord, president and owner of consumer-first brokerage Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) Reliance Partners, is real estate’s gracious leader. A Berkeley, California native, Matt owns and operates with Daryl Rogers, one of the most successful real estate brokerages in Northern California. Together, they manage nine real estate brokerage offices throughout the East Bay, where Matt is based, and Sacramento, where Daryl is based, with more than 450 agents. People-centered, Matt believes real estate is about living a good life and having a good business, and not letting real estate consume one’s life 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Matt has worked with a famous tech startup, as a wildland firefighter, an all-Pac 10 lacrosse player, and in his early years, as a star high school baseball player. These have helped make Matt an expert team builder. Previously, Matt was Chief Operating Officer of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Mason McDuffie, as well as a regional manager and ran its Berkeley office. Prior to joining BHGRE from 2006 to 2011, Matt was a team leader and partner running a highly successful Keller Williams Realty operation with Daryl during KW’s early years in California. Matt graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree as a Psychology major.
